. * The path to loneliness *
. Hazrat Sheikh Saadi (may Allah have mercy on him) states that some friends were keen on tourism and for some time they used to take care of each other even in the hardships of traveling together. I asked him to make me his companion but he refused. I said how can a person with the best morals like you refuse? I will not be a burden to you but you will be a burden. One of them said that the reason for our refusal was that a dervishes had come among us earlier and he had stolen our valuables and fled. How do we know who is dressed as a dervishes? And only the letter writer knows what he has written in the letter. Since dervishes are harmless, we made them our companions. The dress of the dervishes is Godri, by which they are identified and to make someone a dervish, his dress is his symbol. Try the agent, then whatever the dress, it is not enough to have a crown on the head and a flag on the shoulder. The real piety is to give up lust and greed and not to wear a goudri. Wearing military attire does not make a person brave, but the first condition of military attire is to be brave. If a military uniform is worn by a transgender person, it will not make him brave.
۔ One night while traveling we came to a fort and lay down to rest under the shadow of its wall. This dervishes robbed one of our companions and left saying that I will return after istanja and then he climbed the wall of the fort and ran away from the royal palace stealing a box full of jewels. Look at the one who is wearing kundri. We all slept soundly. And he went far away. In the morning, the guards caught him and put us in prison after a lot of beatings. Then we learned that loneliness is the best way to go. If there is a fool in the whole nation, then the honor of no big or small is left and don't you see that all the cows of the village get polluted in the pasture. Who thanked Allah Almighty that I benefited from the company of these people and apparently I could not be their companion, but what they said will always be useful to me. If there is a rudeness in the party then the whole party gets upset and if a dog falls into a pool full of roses then the whole pool becomes stinky. Hazrat Sheikh Saadi (may Allah have mercy on him) says that just remember that wherever you find a good thing, do not feel ashamed to accept it.
