An old man lived in the mountains with his young grandson. He recited the Qur'an every morning. His grandson always tried to be like him.
One day the grandson said, "Grandpa, I try to read the Qur'an like you, but I do not understand, and as soon as I close the Qur'an, I forget what I understand." What do we learn from reading such Qur'an? I am not getting any benefit.
He took the coal out of the basket and put it in the granite. In response, he gave the basket to his grandson and said,
The boy obeyed his grandfather, but by the time he got home, all the water had flowed out of the basket. Grandpa smiled and said, "You have to hurry and hurry this time" and sent him back.
The next time the boy ran very fast but by the time he got home the basket was empty again. With a sigh, he told Grandpa that it was impossible to get water in the basket. He would bring water in the bucket. He sent her down and stood in the doorway to see how hard he tried.
The boy knew it was impossible, but to show Grandpa he filled the basket with water and ran back very fast - by the time he got back the water had flowed out of the basket and it was empty.
The boy said, "Look, Grandpa, this is useless." Grandpa said, "Look at the basket." The boy looked at the basket, and for the first time he realized that the basket was different from before. The place was clean inside and out.
The grandfather said, "Son, when we recite the Qur'an, even if we do not understand or remember a single word of it, its recitation purifies us from within and without." God changes our lives
Anyway friends! It is also a work of reward to recite empty verses that there are ten virtues for every word. And reading along with translation is better than empty recitation and reading with commentary is the best. Just keep in mind that at least once in a lifetime you should read the Qur'an al-Hakim with Tafseer.
