 The Abbasid caliph Abu Jafar Mansoor offered to make Imam Sahib Qazi al-Qada (Chief Justice), but he refused it, but Mansoor insisted with an oath and threatened that if he did not accept this offer, he would be killed.  You will be punished and put in prison, but you keep on refusing.  So he was brought from Kufa to Baghdad and imprisoned, and he was ordered to be flogged daily in a crowded bazaar.  Then he was put in prison and forced to drink poison, due to which he died in the state of prostration within a few days, may God have mercy on him.

 In fact, Caliph Mansoor suspected that Imam Sahib's support was also included in the uprising against the government of the Ahl al-Bayt family in the Basra region, Mansoor became angry with Imam Sahib.  This cruel behavior,

 With the news of his death, the whole of Baghdad was shocked, clouds of sorrow and grief were everywhere, the Qazi of Baghdad, Allama Hassan bin Amara, bathed him, and more than fifty thousand people participated in his funeral prayer (which  (This is an unprecedented number for this era, and there is a clear proof of your popularity.)

 Before his death, he had made a will that I should not be buried in a place that could be suspected of usurpation, so his burial took place in the "Khizeran Tomb" in Baghdad.

  The incident of his death happened in 150 AH, at that time he was seventy years old.

 Upon receiving the news of his death, Makkah jurist Allama Ibn Jarij recited Anna Lilla while expressing his regret and said: "What great knowledge has passed away?"

 And Muhaddith Jalil Imam Shuba, while reciting Anna Lilla, said: "The light of knowledge has gone out from Kufa, now the people of Kufa will never see a person like him."

 Allama Ali bin Saleh bin Hai said: "The Grand Mufti and Fiqh of Iraq has passed away.
