Mohammad Awal:
Fifth Sultan of the Ottoman Empire:
Born: 1382 Bursa.
Died: 1421 AD (Turkey).
He was the youngest son of Sultan Bayazid. By the time of Bayazid's death, the Ottoman Empire had apparently disintegrated. There were uprisings in many parts of the empire. Bayazid's sons were also fighting for power. Suleiman, the eldest brother, announced Bayazid's successor on the European part of the Ottoman Empire in Adrana with the support of Prime Minister Ali Pasha. The second son, Isa, announced his succession in Bursa. Muhammad occupied a small area of Amasia, northeast of Asia Minor. Meanwhile, another son of Bayazid, Musa Timurling, after his release from captivity, began to try his luck for the throne. A power struggle broke out between the four brothers and they fought among themselves. Jesus disappeared after being defeated in a battle. Solomon's army killed Solomon and Moses took the throne of Adriana. Moses then began preparing to attack Constantinople. Muhammad Shah, at the request of Constantinople, came to his aid. Moses and Muhammad's army was about to fight when Moses' army revolted and he was killed. Muhammad now had no rival for the kingdom.
In 1413, Muhammad proclaimed regular rule in the name of Sultan Muhammad I. The people of the Ottoman Empire in Asia and Europe welcomed it. He ruled for 8 years. During this time, he demonstrated extraordinary ability to end the Ottoman Empire's turmoil and strengthen it. Forced Kerman and other Turkish states to accept Ottoman rule again and pay tribute. These states were separated from the Ottoman Empire at the time of Timur's invasion. In the short reign of Muhammad, there was peace and justice everywhere. He died on 824 AH and was buried near Khazra Mosque in Bursa
